Las Hijas de la Cumbia

Maca and Ale are two artist that, together, transform into Las Hijas de la Cumbia. With their music they feed the souls of those who listen to them and their own, filling them with joy and dance.

This duo was born in a New Year’s Eve special programme at the Radio Malva’s Studio, a free radio of the maritime towns in Valencia, where for two years they filled the radio waves with good music and vibrations at the show Flor de Verano. This experience opened their eyes, and they realized that the friendship wasn’t the only thing that united them, but there was something even stronger – the cumbia. Since this moment they decided to adopt the cumbia as a way of life.

Las Hijas de la Cumbia define theirselves as Selectah’s, people who select their tracks from singers or mc, which can be from different years or styles, to get a special atmosphere for each moment and place. This way, the Selectah uses their intuition to select the best music for the best time to get to the people.
